My music is free to use as background music with credit.
Credit somewhere visible/on-screen or in the description: “Music by Pokestir: [link YouTube Channel or https://www.pokestir.com/links]”.
No reuploads of any kind are allowed.
Don't use this music for any project unless you get my permission!
For covers/arrangements: proceed with caution
I have legally licensed these tracks with mechanical licenses through my label. YouTube’s Content ID may or may not flag usages automatically, and I can't guarantee safe usage. Claims often show “Materia Music Publishing” or “FUGA.”
Materia Collective nor I are manually claiming anything—this is just how the system matches melodies.
My label and myself don't manually claim any videos, this is an automated process.
YouTube Content ID flags videos automatically; it’s a revenue hold, not a channel penalty.
Check the claim text.
Does it cite Materia Music Publishing, FUGA, or one of my cover tracks?
Even if you didn’t use my arrangement, YouTube may treat a popular cover as a “master recording” and match any video that contains the same game melody. That’s the YouTube content ID system, not you (or me).
No Pokestir music in your video?
Dispute, and state that no audio from the claimed recording is present; the match is incorrect.
These false positives happen because Content ID sometimes uses cover recordings to detect the original game melody because music publishing didn't evolve into the VGM space. Original game soundtracks are meant to be exempt.
After you dispute
Most claims lift automatically within 5–7 days.
Monetization (if enabled) resumes once the claim is released and any held revenue will be returned to you.
